Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was established to honor those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie, during the War of 1812, and to celebrate the long-lasting peace among Great Britain, Canada and the U.S. The Memorial, a Doric column, rising 352 feet over Lake Erie is situated 5 miles from the longest undefended border in the world.
Over the last several years Millstone Management Group has developed a relationship with the Department of the Interior being entrusted to work in crowded parks and national sites, at former president’s homes and here at the International Peace Memorial. Our team’s recent historical renovations included metal and bronze door restoration, stone restoration and complex coordination during off season times to ensure the monument could be enjoyed by the public during the next tourist season. Millstone Management Group would like to thank the U.S. Department of the Interior for it’s support, for it’s commitment to regulatory reform, stewardship and recreation and it’s commitment to restoring and preserving the beauty of our country’s history.
